BROKEN
One morning you wake up and feel like you left your will in your dreams. The energy, fire and conviction you once had disappeared to a place unknown, so you place your failures, pains and hurdles on a scale while you watch in despair. Paddling alone in the ocean of your tears, with the storm of misery beclouding your vision and no hope of getting to the shore only makes sense. You will drown, you are aware and even wish it happens sooner.
“you can do it”, “pick up the pieces”, “don’t give up”… are the predictable mantra you will get from any ear that cared to listen. You’ve heard them before and will always hear them but not this time, your safe harbor is your broken shell somewhere in your wilderness.
You could remain here and let this slip to eternity, just time will wash away your existence from the hearts of those who care. You stay broken, till there is nothing left to break.
Every second you live in your shell, you shred away who you were and become what you face. You lose everything including your identity and time doesn’t wash away your existence as you wish, it brings them back.
The new struggle is the demons of who you were and what you became which is a lot grave than watching your failures on a scale. You wanted to drown but not so fast.
Slowly, you slip into the darkness of your mind with you chin deep in the ocean of your tears and then the last second you see the sunrise and the shore few feets away but it’s way too late because you chose to stay BROKEN.
