MY HNG JOURNEY BEGINS HERE.
Technology has always been fascinating to me and one thing I have learnt over time is never to limit myself when seeking knowledge.
I registered for the backend track in HNG and I will love to explore and apply all knowledge I will garner during my stay at the internship to several projects. Starting out in any technical field requires the knowledge of programming and for this program I will be using the python programming language throughout my journey.
My goals for the program
- In-depth understanding of what backend development is all about.
- Learn/master a framework
- Build a project with my skills
Picking up the python programming language is quite easy due to the large pool of resources available on the internet and specifically those designed for beginners. You can click here to check out tutorials on python, there are abundant resources on platforms like Udemy, Udacity and Youtube.
A github account is also very necessary when starting out as programmer in order to ease the learning curve. There are also numerous beginners friendly tutorials that will succintly explain what Git is all about and you can access one by clicking here.
Another necessary knowledge that will make the backend journey interesting is the knowledge of design, this is not only limited to designers or individuals interested in UI/UX. Figma is a powerful tool that has come to stay in the design world and a good grasp of the in’s and out of this software is a great plus for any backend developer, just like every othe tools/programming language there are also resources that can put you through figma.
Learning is always fun and I’m looking forward to have lots of it!
